Hi hi hi there!


I’m Andrea Meddi, born in ’97 - 1.83m tall.

Definitely too young to write my BIO in third person!


After graduating at Michelangelo Antonioni Cinematographic Institute in 2019, I started my carreer as a Filmmaker and Camera Operator, for Broadcast and Advertising Industry in Milan.

As Cam. Operetor and A.C., I’ve experienced first-hand many full scale productions but, nowadays, I’m currently focusing on directing my first Commercials, Branded Contents and personal / speculative audiovisual projects.


In a few words, I’m in the period where my tech. and artistic apprenticeship is definitely over and I’m ready to tell things from my point of view.


My taste and style are contaminated and “Chameleon like”. I love every genre and format.


My only fixation is that I'm constantly driven by the idea of creating something that will leave a lasting impression on viewers.

I've always been passionate about creating stories that move people and I'm always looking for new ways to destroy the boundaries of storytelling and create something unique and special.


Well-versed in the technical aspects of filmmaking, from cinematography to editing and sound design, I'm often defined as a great collaborator cause I’m able to work closely with my team in order to bring the best out of everyone.


I mainly work with ADV. agencies, production companies and, sometimes, with the help of Daniele Furini and Enrico Cariolato, as Vanta Visuals creative trio.

I also like to do some "One-Man-Band" for digital campaigns.




Why Advertising?


While Cinema is primarily used as a form of art or entertainment, commercials are conducted with the intention of persuading an audience to pursue a certain behavior, such as buying a product or service.


Despite their differences in purpose, the two mediums possess a surprisingly amount of similarities that can be broken down into three primary categories: storytelling, visuals, and call-to-action.


Movies are often ending with a moral or message to leave viewers pondering the implications of the story, even after the credits have rolled.

Similarly, commercials usually end with an imperative statement that urges viewers to take some sort of action, such as “be sure to buy X product today!”.


Nowadays, it seems that these two roads are joining together!


Consumers are increasingly looking for more engaging and personalized content that speaks to their wants and needs.

For companies looking to create effective Video-Branded Contents, there are several key elements to consider.


Creating compelling stories is essential if the video aspires to be memorable and effective.

It should feature compelling visuals and interesting characters, with a clear call-to-action that encourages viewers to move. Additionally, it’s important to use high-quality production values and ensure that the video looks engaging and credible.


In today’s digital era, Branded Content has become an increasingly important factor for businesses and professionals. Branding is all about creating a memorable image in the minds of customers and potential customers alike; therefore, Branded Content serves as an important instrument to demonstrate the spiritual side of a business or profession. By conveying a company's core values and mission statement, it serves as a way to connect with people on a deeper level, thereby establishing a sense of trust and reliability.


Sometimes the aseptic look-and-feel of companies and businesses can be an intimidating factor for customers.

For this reason, for me directing a Branded Film means telling things from a different pont of view.


And what I like about the advertising world is that I can play the role of the “extractor of spirituality”.

Every single time it’s a different and wonderful challange (and a very demanding creative effort).
